Tennessee linebacker Arion Carter has been suspended for the first two games of the 2026 season.

The NCAA suspended Carter after his agent paid for a $427 flight to an NFL pre-draft training facility before he returned to college. Carter later repaid the flight cost in full and disengaged from the agent after deciding to return to Tennessee.

Carter, a senior and All-SEC captain, will miss the season opener against Furman on Sept. 5 and the following week at Georgia Tech on Sept. 12.
